Bill Haley's Comets are known as the first rock and roll band. The group earned a place in The Guinness Book of World Records for selling 43 million copies of its greatest hit, "Rock Around The Clock."

The band is now led by original bass and trumpet player, Al Rappa. Al Rappa, "The Original Walking Bass Man," has recorded and toured with Bill Haley's Comets since 1956. He has appeared with the band in movies and on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand" videos.
