Surfaced is comprised of vocalist Bernard Jackson, saxophonist David Conley, and guitarist David Townsend. They became famous for their '80s soft-rock, R&B ballads. Their hits include "Happy" in 1987, a number two R&B and number 20 pop single, "Lately," which also reached the R&B Top Ten and "Hold On to Love," which teamed them with the then unheralded Regina Belle. They released 3 Deep in 1990.
