The Sweeny Family Band
They dwell in The Everglades of Florida where they spend their days, playing music, making "corn squeezins", dreaming about the day they might meet a real girl and generally having a real good time doing nothing. (Well, actually they are based out of Orlando.) On the weekends, the boys take to the road and play some of the finest Fairs, Festivals and Special Events anywhere in the USA, including the venues of The Gaylord Palms Resort, Gatorland Zoo and The Ponte Vedre Resort and Country Club. Join Slim and his two identical twin cousins, Nub and Skeeter as they get you to clappin your hands and stompin your feet to some good 'ole time' country and bluegrass music. Slim plays banjo, Nub's on the "doghouse bass" and Skeeter picks the geetar. All three sing and leave the audience is stitches with their simple minded, backwoods comedy. There's lot of sing a longs with this family. They get the kids involved, too. Who knows, you might even be brought up on stage, sworn in as a Swamper and be given a jug, spoons or war shboard to play along with the band. It's just a good ole country time! This family would have been a perfect fit in Cornfield County during the many years run of the TV show HEE HAW! They've been called "a few bricks shy of a load".
